In Home Maternity: Hayden’s New Adventure

Miranda and Shane Hayden are back guys and their first daughter Reagan is just so stinking cute, its hard to handle. Now they are expecting another little girl and it will be an overload of cuteness. I am so blessed to know this beautiful family. They are so chill, carefree and just down right fun! I have been there to photograph their journey becoming a family from day one. First maternity session, to family sessions, all the way to this in home maternity session. I have to say being able to capture people continuously throughout the years is such an honor!

When we were trying to figure out what they wanted to do for this session they gave me complete creative freedom. But I really wanted it to embody who they are. Their first maternity session we did over 2 years ago (WOW, time flies!) was an outdoor session. We adventured around the fields of Thousand Oaks, CA. I remember coming up to a part of the hike where there was a huge hill. Miranda being 8 months pregnant charged that hill and left Shane and I in the dust. Super impressive at the least! This time they wanted something different. So now I thought it would really suit them to have an in home session. It would show off their down to earth/mellow side. Their slow moments in their apartment they didn’t think they would be in that much longer.

It was so much fun just hanging out with them and letting Reagan show me around the house. Cuddling up and then bouncing off the walls! I think Miranda really enjoyed the laid back, no pressure atmosphere and not having to chase Reagan all over the place. I feel like this in home session was such a sweet way to document them in their space.

These in home sessions are giving me life and the Hayden’s made it so easy per usual!
